This is just a regular sushi restaurant. Nothing special. Average rolls. I'll grab some rolls for lunch if I'm really craving sushi because it's local, fairly priced, and better than publix sushi. But if I want amazing sushi - this is not my first, second, or third choice

I've been coming here for years, the service is excellent, and the food is even better. It's low-key, and has a great ambiance. The rolls are excellent and fairly priced for what you get. As a sushi lover, you can't go wrong here!

One of my families favorite restaurants. The prices are very reasonable, the food is wonderful, and the staff is very good. On many daydream, you'll find the owner, Mr. Boon, working the kitchen to make sure everything is perfect.

Nice sushi place in the area! Service: good Ambience: good Prices: good Portions: good We had both sushi and combination fried rice in our table, very fresh fish, the rice was well cooked and overall it was all very nice. The portions are great! Had also edamame and wonton soup to start and the sizes were great. The soup was as the hubs stated "the best his had in a long time" (and he orders it everywhere to try) Also I ordered hot green tea and they brought the cutest pot with the tea made inside it! Nice place to come back to.

I am never not a believer of writing a negative review. However the experience from this place made me feel so disappointed that i think people deserve to know before they patronize the place. I placed a takeout order for spicy tuna salad and celebration roll for the very first time in this restaurant. What I have seen when opening the boxes is truly disappointing. I have been to plenty of restaurants that serve sushi and no one place had charged so much for such a little quantity. The spicy tuna salad is missing cucumber and the salad is stuffed with carrots rather than tuna! I didn't order a carrot salad! Not to mention the fact that the tuna wasn't even that fresh! The celebration roll was supposed to be served with eel sauce and of course you guessed it the eel sauce can't be found with my order. The roll was also supposed to come with shrimp tempura and all I found was two shrimp tails. Will not go back to this place again and wish I wasn't so adventurous that I should have ordered from Tempura House like what I always do.

Great local spot for Thai. I haven't had their sushi yet. I love their PANANG curry, pad woon sen & pad Thai. They have great lunch specials too! Their food is very fresh & delicious.

Ordered the chicken pangang Curry with white, and veggie spring roll. It was excellent. I ordered for pickup so I did not experience dining in, but the food was ready when I arrived as promised, so service was great. Nice place to have in the West Boca area.

This place is awesome and after my experience this week, I had to share! It isn't often I give 5 stars, but the reason I did is because they have it all here. The food is so great, I mean consistently great! I am not from this area, but visit often, and on my last visit, we went again :) I was leaving right after dinner to the airport and my cell phone was nearly dead. I had a charger but needed the plug adapter for the wall. I asked them when I walked in and they relentlessly asked staff and 2o minutes later, handed me the adapter. i was so impressed that they made such a large effort. This just goes hand in hand with the service here. Its always been spot on, and the food is fantastic! Had the sushi items, the thai, i loved it all. GIve this place a try, support the local restaurants. You will be so happy you did.

We come here 2-3 times a month for about 4 years now and it's always consistent ! The food, whether you order the sushi or the Thai dishes .... Is all and always good ! The owners and staff are always happy and attentive to whatever ur heart desires! Last night we took our kids with us for a quick sushi dinner and our oldest daughter is rather picky , at 17 she's also very opinionated, I was surprised to see how much even she enjoyed her meal and had such nice things to say! Boons is always clean , the service is always excellent and the prices are good for fresh, well prepared food! I've never been in this restraunt when it wasn't full of happy customers , and I've been known to walk in just minutes before they close. Try it you'll be happy to have found this little place in a strip mall in west Boca that blows away most of the fresh sushi I grew up on in California!

This place is not only consistent but I eat here weekly for several years and have never had an issue with the food! That's pretty amazing. They treat my little son so special giving him extra tofu to make a toddler happy. The place is clean, food always fresh, it's bocas best Thai/sushi place. I've tried them all. I don't review often but due to their amazing device AND food I had to share.

I love this sushi restaurant! We have ordered to go as well as ate inside Boone's. We usually eat here weekly. This is one of the best sushi restaurants in West Boca. Their sushi selection is super fresh and they have traditional sushi rolls alone with a variety of creative rolls. You can also customize rolls and get rolls with brown rice or cucumber. Their soups are also delicious. We highly recommend their wonton soup. It is very addictive and has plenty of veggies with their chicken wontons. Check this place out if you are looking for a great local sushi restaurant!

I normally order out from boons, but tonight I dined in. I had the Ruth bagel roll and the tuna tartar. This was not the best tuna tartar, but still pretty yummy. My husband had the curry and could not stop raving about it. I will def go back!

Good restaurant in a strip mall on 441. My friends recommended it, so that is where we ended up. It a bit of everything Asian - at least Japanese, Chinese, and Thai. None of us ordered sushi, so I can't review that. But the Thai and Chinese food we ordered was flavorful and large portioned. I had Pad Thai that was really good, although a bit too saucy. The spicy noodles with shrimp were appropriately spiced and full of shrimp. Compared to what other Asian places there are in the near vicinity, it's worth stopping in.

I don't know what it is about this place... but I love it!! I have more check-ins here than any other sushi place around. It's like a little hidden jewel in West Boca. Once you've been there twice, they start to remember you. Great sushi!! Friendly service!! I have yet to try something I didn't like. Supreme California roll.... spot on. Hot Tuna Sandwich.... awesome!! They are heavy handed on the wine... which is never a bad thing! Love love love Boons!! Definitely worth going to.

The last time I was at Boon's was a few months ago. I had been going a few times a month before that. Their Thai food was fair. If I had one complaint about the food it would be that the food that was marked on the menu as being spicy, was mild. If I wanted it spicy I had to add hot sauce. I didn't like their sushi. It didn't taste fresh. My biggest complaint about Boon's was the service. I went there for dinner with my husband, cousin, and my cousin's girlfriend. There were several empty tables. Half way through our meal our server stopped coming around. I saw her go by every once in a while. I tried to get her attention to no avail. Finally I asked the person at the cash register if we could get refills on cokes and water. Boy did I get a dirty look. Later another server walked by. My cousin's girlfriend had a pot of green tea and she wanted me to try it. We asked the server, still didn't see ours, for a small cup. She said the only way she would give us a cup was if we paid for another pot of tea. I didn't try the tea and I haven't gone back to Boon's.

The best Thai food around. Unbelievable green and panang curry dishes! Love ordering this food for take out and drinking every last drop of the broth/curry. My only wish would be if the could serve more white rice with the dishes.

We've been to Boons many times. It used to be a five star, but in recent years the food has dropped off a bit and the prices have gone up a lot. I wish Boon well. He's making money and getting customers through the door. On my last visit I got some less than fresh fish, though, and so we parted ways. Success has a way of burning out sushi chefs. I think this may be the case here. For these prices, you should not be getting someone going through the motions.

My parents love this place (almost) as much as I love sushi. I don't think I've gone home to visit the parents without heading down 441 to Boon's. There's usually a wait (always on weekends) so apparently my parents aren't the only fans, but they move pretty fast. It's not the best sushi I've had, but it hits the spot...and pretty inexpensively. My go to dish the past few times has been unagi served over sushi rice (and a bit of fish egg in there too). It's really tasty and beats any roll I've had at Boon's, although the fried rice my stepdad orders is pretty tasty as well. I'll be back in Boca in just a few months and I'm sure there will be a trip (or two) to Boon's.

Finally got to try their thai food. Not bad, but not the most amazing that I have had before. The staff was very courteous and welcoming. I got the Pad Thai and the chicken seemed fresh but the noodles in my opinion were a bit overcooked. It also lacked the balance between sweet/sour and was a bit sweet for my taste. But I would go there again for a quick lunch.

This is by far our favorite sushi restaurant in south Florida. We have never had a bad experience. From the food to the service ...it is always perfect. From the moment you walk in the service is great, they get you seated as quickly as possible. It's also always a pleasure to see the same staff everytime we go. We love that the ladies know us now and have my wine down before I can even ask. And the food which is the best part is so fresh and delicious! I would say that the menu smaller compared to most sushi but what they have doesn't disappoint. I have had a good chunk of the menu and I have yet to have a roll I didn't enjoy. So this restaurant is always 5 stars in my book and we will continue to be regulars!

  • Ila S.

I didn't love this. The seaweed salad was really good but it ended there. I like sushi a lot- and have never seen so many types listed with cream cheese. Cream cheese? In my sushi? No thank you. I had to search the menu to find some without. I had the California roll, eel roll, and some crazy roll something which had weird tasting crunchy skin in it I think. The only good thing was they do make the rolls with brown rice- but that costs extra. I would not go back again.

I've been to Boon's a couple of times, both for lunch and dinner. Usually I have their Chicken Pad Thai. First time I had it I loved it so I stuck to that. They serve a big portion - perfect to share or have as next day meal. Tonight I decided to try something else. Started with the Supreme California Roll - delicious! We shared this as an appetizer and all liked it. For dinner I ordered the Red Thai Curry with Chicken. Again, portion for two. Comes with rice and a side salad. I ordered mine mild but the order got mixed up and got regular spicy instead. Any other time I would have probably asked for it to be replaced but this one I ate. Yes, I did had to stop from time to time to adjust to the spiciness but still enjoyed it and brought the rest home for tomorrow. I also tried the Green Thai Curry with Tofu, my cousin ordered - also great. Service has always been good, even today, when our waitress was new/ training we had a great dinner. Very inclined to try more "new" things from Boon's.

I have been to Boon's a few times, and always thought it was good. The service is generally friendly and fast. However, I went on 8/27 after not going for 6 months or so. I can honestly say it was the worst sushi I have had in my life! The miso soup was cool and had a pasty taste. The sushi sampler (9 peace sushi) had fish that was dried out and, after one look, should not have been served. The Cancun roll, which seemed like a good mix, had store bought shredded lettuce in it (not fresh) and paired with the fresh onion and shrimp tempura (that was clearly fried hours before) and tasted like a Big Mac. Each peace fell apart and was not well formed. All of the rice in each dish was dry and hard. The server was friendly, and food came out fast. The Age Tofu was very tasty and hot. Hopefully this was a one off bad experience.... Update 12:15 am -- sick...

Can't get as excited as the other Yelpers about this place. To be fair we only ordered take out on the way to a concert. Order was ready as promised.

The last few orders have been very disappointing. The curry wasn't the best and the Sushi tasted like smelly fish...

My whole family has been ordering from this place for a very long time, probably over a year i think, and they have always delivered excellent sushi to our doorstep at an unbelievably fast rate...seriously they deliver the food in like 20 minutes every time. I have never been to the restaurant, but i know their sushi first hand and its good...really good.
